Crystal-Donna Roberts (1984) is an award-winning actress. She is known for her roles in telenovella Arendsvlei and the feature films The Endless River and Krotoa. She holds a BA degree in Drama and Theatre from the University of the Free State and lives in Cape Town.

Marie Lotz was born and bred in Benoni, Gauteng. She has a post-graduate degree in linguistics from University of Johannesburg. She used to work at Jacklin Publishers, and these days she is an editor of medico-legal reports. She has one son and lives in Pretoria. Her debut novel is titled Roofdier, followed by Polsslag in 2022.

Jaco Strydom is a part-time minister in Pretoria and the leader of Echo Youth Development, a non-profit organisation that provides support and accommodation to vulnerable young adults across South Africa. He is a highly regarded columnist and writes for several publications. He studied theology at Pretoria University.

Joha van Dyk is a postgrad student at the University of Stellenbosch. She grew up on a farm in Kleinzee in Namakwaland. She completed her Masters Degree in English in 2020, cum laude. She is currently completing her PhD, while working part-time as tutor. Some of her poems appear in the anthology, Penseel. Branderjaer was her debut novel in 2020.
